Who we are

Dr. Michael Wade is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve healing, resilience, and emotional well-being. As the founder of River City Mental Health Counseling, LLC, Dr. Wade brings extensive experience working with adults, children, and adolescents, including those who have been impacted by trauma. He also works with couples and families facing challenges related to communication, conflict, and life transitions.

His areas of focus include depression, anxiety, ADHD, parenting concerns, marital and relationship issues, job-related stress, and grief. Dr. Wade earned his Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and his Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of the Cumberlands. Known for his calm and empathetic approach, Dr. Wade provides a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change.
